lunch - fish balls noodles with mince pork and big chye sim.
yu tiao fry with prawns paste, very nice.
another side of the yu tiao. i try to make squid paste but it didnt turn out well, very soft and not tasty, outside they add pork lard which is very unhealthy. tonight add flour to the squid paste and pan fry it for dinner.
yesterday saw ch 832 cook this and so try it out today. clearing all veg and old meat in the refri going holiday tonight.

today ash wednesday the beginning lent so fasting lunch ate late at 12pm cos need to go 1.15pm mass wont feel hungry. dinner instant noodles.

noodles with lion balls with xiao bai chye, taste not bad, the veg cook in this way taste like dried veg. I add mashed tow who and bread skin make into crumb to mix with the pork balls. Add ginger, spring, salt, light sauce, pepper to season overnight. The noodle is bit salty so just add more hot water to wash it.

rice boiled with small onion, dried prawns, blk mushroom, cabbage, yam and chicken. Mix with salt, light and dark sauce, sesame oil and pepper.
not enough meat. fry one pc chicken leg for son.
green bean with sweet pototoes for tea. too much sago water all absorb and this kind pototoes not very nice must buy the yellow kind taste better like chestnut, not very sweet too but healthy.

thai fried kuey teow - not salty enough not enough fish sauce. when i run out of ideas what to cook, my son said he like fish sauce so i thought why noe thai kuey teow, overall the texture is quite good, normally this kind of thin kuey teow alway very soft overcook not nice. need to add sugar and more lime and peanut crush. it seem that all the pictures look alike same colour, egg and prawns.
nian gao with cook mashed yam ( mix with salt and sugar when hot), wrap with popiah skin. When just fry it is very hot it burnt my mouth, the soft sticky nian gao is very hot. not bad.
